David Cuffe, MVB, MA, MRCVS
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
David Cuffe graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, and worked in a hospital practice in Surrey for 4 years before opening in Kennington.
He has worked in South London ever since. In his own words he “could not have made a happier career choice”. Other interests are reading, writing, running, science, philosophy, cooking, and, since Ella came into his life, Lurchers!

Ellie Cavale, BVetMed, MSc, MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Ellie Cavale graduated from the Aristotelian University, Greece, in 1996.
After working for a Greek charity she moved to the UK in 1998 and worked as a small animal vet in Kent and the South coast.
She completed an MSc in Microbiology in 2001 (Royal Veterinary College) and joined David Cuffe & Associates in 2002.
Since then she has acquired a dog (Gizmo - pictured), a cat (Gollum) and 2 children! In her spare time she is into photography, swimming and traveling.

Helen Carmichael, BSc, BVSc, MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Helen graduated from Bristol University School of Veterinary Science in 2004 after completing a BSc in Zoology.
She worked as a small animal vet in Hampshire for a couple of years and as a volunteer resident vet in the Cook islands. She joined David Cuffe & Associates in 2006 and took a small career break to have a lovely baby boy. She enjoys running, yoga and long walks with Dolly (pictured).

Rose Jang, BVSc, MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Rose qualified in 2003 in Sydney where she worked until 2005.
She moved to the UK and worked in Essex and London in small animal practice before first joining us in 2008. She would love to get a cat and a dog as soon as she gets her own place. In the meantime she has been looking after her hamsters. She is passionate about traveling, scuba diving and food (!)

Mary Rose Fitzpatrick, VN
Head Nurse
Mary Rose moved to the UK from Ireland in 1990. She started her career in veterinary nursing in 1999 in North London, enrolled for her qualification in 2000 and qualified in 2002.
She then locumed, did some charity work and took a course in Small Animal Dentistry before joining David Cuffe & Associates in 2006. Mary Rose likes socializing, keeping fit and good weather!

Hannah Curwood BM VN
Veterinary Nurse
Hannah has recently moved to the UK from New Zealand, where she qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2002. Hannah was the Head Veterinary Nurse at her last practice, so has already earned herself a reputation as 'the bossy one'. She is settling in well, and enjoying her time in London very much.
Hannah also holds a Bachelor of Music (Hons) from the University of Otago, and spends her spare time moonlighting as a performing singer/songwriter. She has released 2 albums, and hopes to record her third whilst here in the UK.
Other interests include animal behaviour, running and playing with her dog, who she hopes will be joining her here in London soon. |
Nadia Patane VN
Veterinary Nurse
Nadia moved to the UK from South Africa in 1991.
After pursuing other interests she started her veterinary nursing career in North London, before joining David Cuffe & Associates in 2007. She enrolled for her veterinary nursing qualification in 2008 and qualified this year (2010). Nadia enjoys music, martial arts and Hendrix’s company (her cat).
