We do have some terms and conditions we feel you should read and understand.
Payment of Fees
All services and goods are provided on the basis that payment is made in full at the time. We do not have any credit system, and make a billing charge when an invoice has to be sent in those rare occasions when, for whatever reason, payment is not made at the time. We accept most major credit and debit cards, and most other regular forms of payment.
Appointments
All consultation is done by appointment. Obviously, any genuine emergency is seen immediately and without an appointment. We will always do our best to facilitate you with an appointment to suit, but equally we do our best to avoid double booking because of the negative impact it has on the client already booked. For this reason, "popping in at the end" which is the busy time is not appreciated unless it is an emergency. We can and do make special appointments outside the normal consulting hours for special cases, and for anyone who requests it, when we can.
Fee Structure
All consultations, initial or follow up, are chargeable. Essentially, that is how we make our living, much like the other professions. The basic consultation is 15 minutes and costs £30.26. This includes VAT. All fees incur VAT. There may be further chargeable items (tests, procedures, sundries, drugs, food, extra time) and all these will obviously increase the invoice. Surgical procedures and imaging procedures (X-ray, Ultrasound) will significantly increase the final invoice.
We will always provide an estimate on request beforehand, but an estimate is only that, and particularly in life threatening or compromising cases what has to be done may end up far outstripping the estimate.
We do our best to stick to estimates, but on occasion other imperatives are superimposed. In these cases we always try to ring you and keep you informed, and where possible to give you a choice. However, experience tells me that in nine out of ten cases the number on which you would "definitely be available all day" rings to an answer phone or is permanently engaged. I cannot overemphasise how important Pet Insurance is, especially in these cases.
